Card Inspiration with Savannah by Alicia!

Hello, Alicia with you today to host the blog.  I created a couple of cards with the new Savannah papers and Savannah Quotes and Phrases 500.

I love the checkerboard pattern of Savannah 100 paper and thought it lent itself toward a masculine card.  For the second card I found the feminine patterned on the opposing side and made the Life is Beautiful card.

Both cards start with an A2 (4.25" x5.5") card base of white card stock.  I also used an ATC gun for adhesive except where otherwise noted.
Directions for "Life is Beautiful" card:
  • Cut Savannah 100 paper to 4" x 5.25"
  • Cut sentiment from Savannah Quotes and Phrases 500
  • Cut fleur de lis element from Savannah 100 paper
  • Ink all edges with Midnight Confessions PowderPuff chalking ink
  • Add brads to Life is Beautiful sentiment
  • Add pop dots to sentiment and element
  • Adhere background
  • Adhere ribbon across the bottom with red lined tape
  • Add sentiment and element

Directions for Masculine Birthday card
  • Cut Savannah paper 102 to 4" x 5.25"
  • Stamp background images with Midnight Confessions. I used a stamping tool and only stamped once to get a grungy background
  • Cut Savannah paper 101 to a 3.5" square
  • Cut Savannah paper 100 to a 3" square
  • Cut Savannah paper 101 with die cut sentiment
  • Cut Savannah paper 102 to .5" x 4"
  • Ink all the pieces generously with Midnight Confessions
  • Mount die cut sentiment on thin strip using a fine tip glue pen
  • Add brads to each end of strip
  • Adhere layers to card finishing with sentiment strip
