Hello and welcome! Susie hosting the blog today.
I am sharing a layout that uses one of my favorite techniques - cutting the background with a craft knife. Some papers have the most amazing images and I hate covering them up. The paper I chose for the background of this scrapbook page is from the Earth Wind Fire Collection and has some beautiful stylized flowers.
I added the illusion of dimension by using my craft knife to cut around the images and pulling them on top of other elements, like the photo mat or the sentiment.
I trimmed out some extra flowers from another paper and tucked them behind the photo mat in a couple of places. I also added some sentiments from the cut apart page.
I decorated the flowers with self adhesive pearls in three different colors: cranberry, gun metal, and steel blue. Here are a couple of close ups:
Quick Quotes Supplies:
Earth Wind Fire 106, 107, 109 and 500
Other Supplies:
Want2Scrap 72 Count Pearls - Cranberry, Gun Metal, Steel Blue
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!
