A Bold Technique with Marcia!

Hello Quick Quotes friends! Marcia here to host the blog today.

I have a bright, happy layout to share with you that I created with the 6x6 "Be Bold" paper pad. I thought the colors and chipboard accents were perfect for this layout of my son. This picture was taken of him last year for the High School Musical where he played his drum set in the pit orchestra.

I love that he is holding his drum sticks. I usually see him with a pair of drum sticks; tapping out a rhythm while watching TV, or studying, or stuck in his back pocket. Life is never quiet with a drummer in the house :) I miss the noise now that he is away at college.

I took the journal pages from the 6x6 Be Bold paper pad and cut them into strips to make my border. I wanted the bright colors but didn't want you to think tropical since this is neither a summer or vacation layout. The inside edges of the border are distress and then inked to add color. The outside edges and other paper edges  were inked in black. It seems to make the color pop more. Here is a close up...

I love that LIVE OUT LOUD chipboard piece!
