Greetings Quick Quotes friends!
Donna here today to host the blog for you. I have a vintage style layout to share using the Quick Quotes Cracklin' Rose collection.
I wanted to make some sort of "curtain", so I saw this idea on Pinterest. What I did scored the paper the same way you would for flower rosettes. For my curtain I scored it five times down the side of the paper. And I inked the edges for a more dramatic effect. Also in order to add the embellishment in the middle I had to cut away the paper. Of course if I would have made me score lines closer together (I used 1/2 inch) I think I could have layed the embellishment right on top. But, either way works.
I used the Cricut to cut out faux doilies when I used around under the curtain. I have tons of vintage embellishments so layering them with Quick Quotes stickers and chipboard, helped bring it all together. I found a paper clip in my stash which said Girls and I inked it with Stayonz it to make it black. All other items I used Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk Inks.
