Off the Page with Jen!

Hi Quick Quotes friends!  Jen here today to host the blog for you.

Christmas is almost here!  I hope you are as excited as I am!  For those of you who enjoy creating handmade gifts, I have a "Cookies in a Jar" gift set that will make a cute and unique Christmas gift!

Here is a photo of the finished set:
Jar (4 of 5)

I used a quart sized Mason jar that I prepped by washing and drying.  I created a band that wraps around the body of the jar using the Cracklin' Rose Paperline and cutouts.  I inked the edges of my papers with Bloody Mary PowderPuff Chalking Ink, then layered them and attached them to the jar.

Jar (2 of 5)

To create the lid topper, I covered the metal seal with more paper from the Cracklin' Rose Paperline.  The little gingerbread man was cut using my Pazzles and a cut file from My Scrap Chick.  I used a white gel pen, black pen and pink chalk to add the details to his face.

Jar (3 of 5)
Next, I tied Ribbon around the neck of the jar and hung a gingerbread man from the ribbon.

Jar (1 of 5)

I used the same cut file and cut the tag and hearts from cardstock and covered the front of my tag.

Jar (5 of 5)

To finish the gift, add the dry ingredients for your cookie recipe in the jar. You can find many different recipes on the internet; just input "Cookies in a Jar Recipe" and search to find one you like! Print out the mixing instructions and attach to the inside of the tag and you're finished!
