Hello, Barb here! Welcome to the Quick Quotes/ Clear Scraps Blog Hop! I received a fun acrylic/chipboard album from Clear Scraps called "Spring" to play with! I combined it with Quick Quotes Just Because collection and this is what I created....

This album is full of great layers of acrylic and chipboard! Each page is a different cut. The first was butterflies, then flowers followed by leaves... so cool! And perfect for my zoo photos!

I used paint pens to add borders to most of the pages.

I layered 2 banners for the title and added some pop dots for dimension.

I used flowers to help outline the border of the butterfly and carried the flower theme onto the next page.

I love the Clear Scraps albums because they really challenged me as a designer... I have to think about the front and back of a page at the same time since the page is clear! To help hide the adhesive from the banner on the front cover, I used this tag and sentiment on the opposite side.

The page on the right was really challenging for me since it had the shapes of leaves cut out. I figured out that using one large photo at the bottom with 2 smaller photos towards the top worked well. I repeated the same thing on the back side of this page.

Quick Quotes Just Because Line is one of my all time favorites! One reason is the fun color combinations and patterns but the other reason is because it has all these great quotes that coordinate with it. This one was perfect since the zoo trip was all about spending time with grandparents!

Lauren and Brayden had a great time with the goats. On one page they are hugging them, on the other page, Lauren is letting those goats have it! I made a few flags, banners and butterflies as embellishments on these pages.

On the last clear page, I added a cardstock piece of paper that I placed right down the middle.

I fussy cut this flower border from one of the patterned papers and used it as an embellishment.

And finally, the back cover! Very simple, but in my opinion, the perfect ending to this album!

Sorry this post was a little picture heavy... I wanted to show you all of the album!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Welcome to our Quick Quotes and Clear Scraps Hop!!!  What a wonderful combination of two companies!  These products fit so very well together!

For my project, I used the Lacey Mixable 8x8 album from Clear scraps along with the Cracklin' Rose Collection from Quick Quotes.   I admit, I have never done one of these albums before this, because I just prefer to work on my 12x12 layouts for my albums.  This was a nice change from the norm and I LOVED DOING IT! I started with covering my chipboard pages with the paper from Quick Quotes.  I knew that I wanted those completely covered so that I could start my embellishment process.

My cover page of my album is kind of plain when it stands alone... just the work JOLLY and a wreath made from pine-look pipe cleaners.    BUT...when the album is closed, the first page looks gorgeous!  You can see the velum poem peeking through...and the flowers  I love the way the pages together create a masterpiece!

I used the vellum poem "Christmas" and I inked the edges with Limeade Powder Puff Inks.   I tossed in some flowers and leaves to help adorn the page a bit.

I went page by page, adding vellum, inks, flowers, paints and photos.

The Chipboard 8x8 Christmas Tree Assortment was one of my favorite additions to my beautiful album!   Below are the pages of my album....each one different, each one unique. This was truly one of my most favorite projects ever!

Thank you for taking time to look at my project today!  Have a wonderful week!

I like the photo heavy ones. They let me see the detail on every pages. This helps me get ideas for the inside of an album also.
