Hi everyone! Jen here today to bring you a little more Tin Type inspiration!!!
I would like to share a layout which brings back a lot of memories! My husband (then boyfriend) and I took a trip to Italy and he proposed to me in Venice...on a gondola even! I used the brand new Quick Quotes Tin Type paperline to create my layout.
I used a really cool technique to create the large frame on the first page and the border on the second page. I tore one edge of a paper strip that was about 1 1/2" wide. I inked the edges with Biscotti and Midnight Confessions chalk ink. I then created pleats by folding the paper back and forth.
I altered the bare Chipboard Flowers and the Prima flowers by painting them with black and gold acrylic paint. Once the pieces were dry, I chalked the edges with Midnight Confessions chalk ink and added a clear gem to the center.
I also cut out the hot air balloon and building (which reminded me so much of the buildings in Venice) from a sheet of the Tin Type paper. I inked the edges and pop dotted them on my layout. Here you can see the pop dotted hot air balloon:

I adhered the pleated paper to the back of the large frame to hold the shape of the pleats in place. I then ran the chalk ink over the tops of the pleats to make them stand out even more. Here is a closeup of the pleated paper:
