Hi, Connie here with this month's challenge.  You know I love photo strips, on scrapbook pages, so I got to thinking~what about photo strips on cards.  They are easy to make and look great on a card.

So let's do this ...

Instructions for photo strips:
  • First find a small stamp and get your Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks out, you will need them.

  • Using white cardstock make swatches of ink down one side.
  • Stamp your small image in the center of the color swatch.
  • Punch the swatch out with a square punch.  can be 1" or 1 1/2" doesn't matter.
  • Cut strips of paper from the Secret Garden collection (CN103) and then down the middle. (See picture.)
  • Mount square swatches on white cardtsock and trim out into a strip.
  • Add Secret Garden strip to each side of image strip.  Cut the strip at the length you need for the cards.

  • Stamped sentiment using Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink.
  • Adhere to card fronts.
  • Decorate with twine and pearls.

The Secret Garden paper is so bright and vibrant, I thought I would try to scan them into my computer and print them out as note cards.

  • You will need to flip the image so it comes out the right way.
  • I added a little ink splats and a hand made stamp at the bottom of the cards.
  • The white cardstock size is 6" X 12".
  • The Canon iP8720 printer was used for this.
  • The cards printed beautifully.  I will doing this again!!!!

The scanned and printed out cards are slightly lighter in color but they look great. and will be gladly received by someone.
