Hello and welcome! Susie hosting the blog today and I am sharing another layout I created with pieces from the August Club Q kit.
I wanted to create a layout about a field trip my son took to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, including as many photos as possible. My Cannon Pixma printer came with a software package that makes it really easy to create stylish collages. I opened one of the templates and imported several pictures. I played around with the selection, placement and sizing of the photos.
You also get to select the size of your collage page. I chose a 5"x7", but I could have made it a 4"x6" or an 8.5"x11"!
Adding the photos, journaling and a sub-title on one piece really streamlined my scrapbooking process. I simply added a large photo mat, tucked a custom cut tag in the back, and embellished with some enamel dots from my stash.
I was inspired by the laser cut banners that came in the August Club Q Kit and actually used them as a pattern for cutting more out of other papers in the kit.
I inked the edges of each banner with Warm Gray PowderPuff Chalking Ink before creating a cluster below my sticker title.
I finished things off by creating a couple of die cut arrows and adding a piece of flair from my stash.
Pin It Now!
- This particular template looks like 5 Polaroid snapshots scattered on a page.
- It is set up so that you can add text below each of the images in addition to adding journaling and a title in the open area.
- You get to choose the font style that appeals to you - and each text box can have a different font if you want!
Here's a close up of some of the text I added. It was super easy!
