Joy Clair Promotion Day 2 with Martha!

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you my project for the cross promotion between Joy Clair Stamps and Quick Quotes. It's the perfect combination between stamps, patterned papers and chalk inks!!!

This is my actually my second post because I have the pleasure to be part of both Design Teams. For today, I prepared a Paper Easel Frame and Card using my Canon PIXMA TS 9020. Now with my printer on hand, it's easier to create projects using photos and quickly share them with others.

Take a look at my easel frame with the photo side:

This idea of a paper easel frame can easily replace the idea of card or can be combined as I did, photo for one side and message for the other side.

Take a look of the other side:

  • To create the easel you need two pieces of decorated paper.
    • One of 4-1/2"x12" and one of 4"x4-1/2".
  • I used the paper Serenade 100 for these two pieces.
  • Score the large piece on 6"
  • Score the small piece on the 4" side on 1/2", 2" and 3-1/2" to create the accordion for the base.
  • Use the 1/2" folds to paste to the big card.

Now it's time to print the photo or photos, because with this model of frame you can store inside more than one photo. I printed mine using my Canon PIXMA TS 9020, and this time I had the photos on a memory card so it was very easy.

I used the 4"x6" format and cropped the photo with my trimmer to fit inside the pocket that I made using a die cut and the green side of Serenade 101.

I pasted the lateral and lower side of this frame using dimensionals and inserted the photo(s) for the upper side.

  • For the other side, I used the same die cut with over the white side of Serenade 103.
  • I stamped the sentiment and images of the stamp set God's Treasure from Joy Clair over it using Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalk Ink
  • I colored the stones with color pencils.
  • As a final touch I added a die cut stone that I cut using the back side of Serenade 103.

Fantastic idea.
A welcome gift that can
be displayed and enjoyed.
A card would have been put
in the drawer and forgotten.
thanks for sharing a
great idea.
