Valentine Cards Inspiration with Alicia

Can you believe it is almost Valentine's Day? Alicia with you today making some cards for this lovely holiday.  I adore making Valentine's because you can still put hearts, pearls and fancy ribbon on a man's card.

Shhh!  I may give this one to my husband.  It is simple yet has some pearly embellishments and ribbon.  But the wow factor comes when the winged heart pops up upon opening the card!

I used two layers since there was nothing behind the pop up.  I layered the back with Whistlin Dixie 104 paper.  I really like how the arrows sneak out behind the heart...so Valentine's!  I finished it up with a love sentiment inside and some heart punches heavily distressed with the brand new 2016 Barn Board PowderPuff Chalking Ink, a fantastic deep red ink.

I made a second card while I was at it.  Here,  I used more leftovers from past Club Q kits and just layered hearts upon hearts with some pearly goodness thrown in for good measure.
