Friday Challenge 52!

Happy Friday!!! Hello everyone, Martha Lucia here with our Friday Challenge for June!!!

(Please stop back tomorrow for the winners post for our May Challenge)

The theme for this month is Flowers for Summer, please use handmade paper flowers (stamped or cut) on your project and you can make any kind of project!!!

FLORES DE VERANO

I created an out of page project using an 8" embroidery hoop. For this I covered the base with a circle paper that I cut from Alton 200 paper. Then I stamped some different flowers over Gypsy Road 100 paper and Joy Ride 400 paper using the PowderPuff Chalk Inks in colors like Hydragea, Fuchsia and Orange Slice. Then I cut the flowers using two different punches.

  FLORES DE VERANO

Before I pasted the stamped flowers, I pasted some green flowers and a border that came from the Joy Ride Paper Die Cuts to create a contrast of colors. All my flowers were pasted with dimensionals to get different heights. On the center of each flower I added a sequin to get a tone on tone focal point.

   FLORES DE VERANO

I used some tropical instant photos of my daughter and a friend for this project and as a message I added a Chipboard Die Cut from Catalina Island Collection, perfectly for this occasion. My embroidery hoop turned out beautiful and I used die cut flowers and stamped flowers. Now it is your turn to participate in our Friday Challenge for June. Quick Quotes Products Used:

Handmade flowers is a great challenge theme!!! Thanks for the opportunity to stretch my crafting muscles by making a flower instead of plastering a pre-made one on. :)

The stamped flowers on that clever and creative hoop project are lovely. I like the blingy centers!!!
