Masculine Inspiration with Jen!

Happy Friday to you!  Jen here today to host the blog for you.

I wanted to share a creation that I made with Father’s Day in mind. This is a fun design for other masculine occasions as well. My card looks like the front of a suit jacket. I covered my card base with a cream colored paper from the Cracklin' Rose collection.

My card measures 4”x5 ½”, so I cut two pieces of paper that measure 2 ½”x5 ½”; slightly wider than my card base so that the papers would overlap at the center. These two papers were used to make the outside of the suit jacket. I simply folded down the top two inside corners of each paper to create the collar of the jacket. I then recovered the “collar” with the same paper and inked all of the edges of the papers with Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalking Ink to make the seams stand out.

I then added a sentiment from the Family Quick Quotes Bundle as well as two black buttons down the center of the jacket. To finish off the card, I created a small bowtie using black Ribbon.

Quick Quotes Items Used:
Cracklin Rose 100
Ribbon

Buttons

Thanks so much for stopping on over today!
