Double Inspiration: Dana and Rhonda!

For all of you shoppers...  You don't want to miss this!

Greetings this fine Saturday from all of us at Quick Quotes!  Today we have double the inspiration with Dana and Rhonda.

*****

Hi Quick Quotes fans!

Dana here today sharing a layout that I created with the fantastic Dusty Road collection. I love the purple and teal that is so prominent on the patterned papers in this line. I immediately knew what photos I wanted to scrap, some of my favorite of my youngest daughter picking dandelions.

The fun circle designs on the Dusty Road 200 patterned paper reminded me of fluffy dandelions. I cut out several of the circles to create my flowers. I added Coconut White PowderPuff Chalking Ink with a sponge to the edges of the flower petals. I created the flower stems from the coordinating cardstock from the Dusty Road 6x6 Paper Pad and some Amaretto PowderPuff Chalking Ink.

I can always count on Quick Quotes to have the perfect sentiment for my project. I selected the "Scatter Joy" piece from the Dusty Road Chipboard Die-Cut Set.

I'm sure my daughter has scattered dandelion seeds all over the neighborhood, much to the joy of all the other children!

Happy Saturday to you!  Rhonda here with a card featuring the very pretty Dusty Road collection.

I thought it would be fun to stamp and color for a change*, so I gave it a try.  I've not colored with Copics in awhile so I decided to practice again, which is where this card came from.  I had my Dusty Road papers in front of me and took great inspiration from the collections colors.

*Disclaimer - I am a total novice with Copics. No Copics or stamps were harmed during this process - pretty sure anyway. : )

The fun thing with our 6x6 Paper Pads is they are so perfect for card making.  I love the variety of papers included, including the card stock.

I thought the tiny bow was too cute so I put it in her hair:

The colors in this line work wonderfully for so many projects, from feminine to masculine. I also love how a simple design can look intricate with just a few additions of a flourish or die cut.

It was fun to break out of my comfort zone and try something different. That's what I love about this hobby, there's always something to spark your creativity!  I started out coloring this image with brunette hair, but switched to blonde because it reminded me of the friend that I am going to send this to.
