Greetings to you from Jen!
It’s almost a new year, which usually means setting new goals and resolutions. One of my resolutions for the upcoming year is to get some major scrapping done! I often spend hours on a single layout trying to get it just right.
In the next year, I vow to create more simplistic pages so that I can get closer to being caught up on all of the photos I have to scrap! In honor of the New Year, I have created a card with the following sentiment from the Itty Bitty Vellum Box Set: Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal. A perfect statement to start off the New Year!
To create the card, I covered my card base with the black and grey paper from the Cracklin' Rose paperline. Next, I diecut and embossed the light brown paper with a Spellbinders die and inked the edges and raised embossing with Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalking Ink.
I then added the red and cream ribbon behind the frame, tore and inked the edges of the vellum quote, and attached the entire frame to my card. Lastly, I added small dots of black paint around the inner edge of the frame:
Quick Quotes items Used:
Cracklin' Rose 100
Cracklin' Rose 200
Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalking Ink
Itty Bitty Vellum Box Set
Other Items Used:
Basic Frames Die –Spellinders
Paint – Viva
Card Base
I hope everyone has a fabulous New Year!
