While shopping at an antique shop, I spotted this large wooden and screen type box. I asked the owner what it was and he said he thought that it was something that, in days gone by, had been used to dry grain or seeds. The piece is quite large and measures 1’ x 2’. Perfect for a home décor project!
I’ve used Cracklin' Rose 200 on the center and tips of the snowflakes. I made large rosettes for the center of the snowflake, using Cracklin’ Rose 300. The seam binding bows were made using Bloody Mary, PowderPuff Chalk Ink. I’ve used the Snowflake Mini by Clear Scraps.
Close up.
I hope I’ve inspired you to alter an item for your home

Hi Quick Quotes and Clear Scraps Fans, Christine here today to share a home decor creation with you! I decided to take the tag album that I received in a different direction and turn it into a one of a kind frame for my house.
I used the Cracklin' Rose line to decorate the tags. It is the perfect match for the earth tones in my house. I love the way the browns and maroons pop against the acrylic tags and the cream paper.
I have a new little 7 week old baby so I had to leave a blank spot for a picture of him. I tried to keep my design uniform and simple to fit with my own decor style. Each tag is identical to the next one other than the actual picture.
I used pieces of scored cardstock to serve as the hinges between the tags. This was a simple project to do that anyone would love as a gift...you could easily put one together for a family member for Christmas!

Fun projects. Love that the tags were used as frames and not an album and what a clever use of the screen. Great jobs.
