Private Reserve... What is it? HUGE GIVEAWAY!

Hi there Quick Quotes friends! Jen Sodowsky here today to chat with you about the Quick Quotes Private Reserve!

I must say that I am a big supporter of Scrapbook Conventions, crops, scrappy get togethers, etc.  I count down the days until the next one with my excitement building as the days get closer.  I have always been a fan of Quick Quotes, so you can imagine my excitement when they announced they were having a Private Reserve in my home state.  That was three years ago and I have attended their Private Reserves every year since then.

For those who have never been to a Private Reserve, I’d like to give you a little insight into this fun filled “scrappy” weekend.  The PR’s begin on Friday.  For those fanatics (like me) who want their weekend to start early, then make sure you sign up for the bonus classes that begin that morning.
  • The bonus classes cover a range of scrapbook layouts, mini albums and a beautiful canvas piece.  The actual “Kick-Off” crop doesn’t start until 7, but I always like to get there early not only for the bonus classes, but to beat the rush, shop the Quick Quotes store that is on location and to start making my mini workshop items.
  • Did I mention that the mini workshops are included in your registration!  You move from station to station making all kinds of scrappy goodness!
  • In the past, I have made little purses that hold candy, beautiful fan fold flowers, layouts, nametags, glimmer misted canvas, and the list goes on!
  • Not only are you making some super cute stuff, but you are also learning new techniques from the start!

The “Kick-Off” crop begins at 7pm on Friday. As you enter the ballroom, you are given a Quick Quotes bag filled with all kinds of goodies!  My suggestion is to bring extra bags, because the extra large Quick Quotes bag that you are given will be overflowing with stuff by the end of the weekend!  I’m not kidding when I say that I had to have 3 bags to carry all of my stuff home last year.  For those who did not attend the Bonus Classes, your first class will actual begin the night of the crop.

Let me talk a little about the classes.  I have been to plenty of classes where I have made projects and layouts and I have came home with some beautiful things.  But if you have ever attended a Quick Quotes class, then you know that they are pretty unique.  You actually learn some cool techniques during the classes.

I consider myself a fairly advanced scrapper and I must say that every PR weekend has taught me some new things that I have used over and over in my scrapping.  Now who doesn’t love to learn new things?!!

  • Most of the classes are between 1 – 1 ½ hours long.
  • Overhead projectors are used so you can follow along step by step.
  • There are also lots of classroom volunteers walking around with finished projects and to help you should you have a question.
  • At the end of each class, there is a break, so you have some extra time if you didn’t finish your project or you can use this time to leave your seat without fear that you are going to miss something!  I love this format!

The Friday and Saturday evening crops last until Midnight. During this time, there are some fun (and sometimes wacky) contests that are played.  There are tons of giveaways, not only during the crop, but all through the entire weekend!  There is plenty of crop time and the second night includes a Charity Auction.  If you are familiar with the Quick Quotes family, then you know that they are always helping various charities throughout the year.  The Charity Auctions during all of the PR’s for that year will help a family in need and you get to hear their story. Love this!

Saturday and Sunday are filled with classes!  I have made beautiful double page layouts, a canvas clock and wall décor, mini albums and more!  One day is also dedicated to working on a gorgeous 20 page 12x12 album.  Your registration also includes a wonderfully scrumptious catered lunch on both Saturday and Sunday.  And you will not want to miss the performance that is put on by the Quick Quotes crew.  I must say that I have not spent a weekend laughing this hard in a long time!

Last year I also had the pleasure of meeting Teresa Collins as she taught one of the classes that included a stunning canvas album using one of her paperlines.  This year, the guest instructor is Ken Oliver from Spellbinders who will be teaching a card class.  I can’t wait!

As the PR comes to a close, a slide show is shared with everyone as a recap of the weekends events.  It’s a great time to watch all the fun that the attendees had that weekend.  Last but not least, let’s talk about the final grand prizes!  There is a table that is FILLED with prizes.

Last year, Quick Quotes gave away:
  • Several Canon Print Stations
  • Totes with scrapbook products
  • Spellbinders Grand Calibers
  • and a finale grand prize that included a HUGE tote of scrappy goodies!
This year’s Private Reserves will be held in St. Louis, MO, Grand Mound, WA, Palm Springs, CA, Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, and York, PA.  Click Here to check out all of the details. I will be attending St. Louis this year and I have already started counting down the days!!

Oh my where do I begin. My Daughter and I went to private reserve last year. I convinced my husband that It could be my christmas gift for him to send my daughter and I. I wasnt sure how that was going to go over lol. He was thrilled.. he didnt have to shop for something I probably wouldnt like. I need to go again this year so please please pick me lol. It is something you never forget and learn a heck of a lot while you are there, not to mention all the bags and bags you go home with... plus the 3 bags of stuff that I bought.

What a great contest. I would love to attend! I have been scrapbooking for about 6 years. I am finally learning to step out of my comfort zone and try new techniques and products. Attending the Private Reserve weekend would allow me to learn so much more! I just attended my first scrapbook convention but wasn't able to take any classes or participate in any crops. This would be a great opportunity for me to do both!

I am a single mom and have never had the funds to attend anything like this. I always read about them and dream that one day....But now my kids are finally grown, my baby is 18 and this is the first school year since 1985 that I don't have a child to get ready for school..lol. Anyway, now that I have the time to go, I still don't have the extra money to do so. I would love to learn all the techiniques that are taught.

I went to one about 4 years ago and then was a volunteer the past 2 years. My life has gotten crazy this year and would lOve to attend as a participant. I adore this company, their products, and the family.

I'd love to win this prize because the PR's aren't that close to me, so I'd have to add travel in, and it's just too expensive. If I won tuition, the York, PA Private Reserve would be so doable!

Hi, I am Anjie Simmons. I have never attended a weekend like this before. It sounds like a lot of fun. I have recently started using canvas and would love to learn more about it.

I want to win Private Reserve Tuition to the PR in St. Louis because I had never really heard of it until the CKC Convention in June of this year and there were some ladies that told me it was the most fun they had ever had at a PR in Orlando and that this year is the first year it would be in St. Louis. As a school teacher I do not get paid over the summer and have not had the money to pay for Private Reserve as of yet. My daughter will be a freshman in college this year so EVERY extra dime has gone to prepare her for moving to Little Rock for college. I have even emailed Breezy trying to work out a way to pay... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE pick me.

I would so love to win. I've wanted to go for years, but it always seemed like something got in the way: we always either had plans already for that weekend or didn't have the extra money that year. I've heard such fabulous things about how much friends who have gone have learned.

I attended PR once in the past and it was awesome. I also love their classes at the shows. However now that they are not doing PR in my area it would be pricey to travel and pay tuition. Winning this trip would allow me to attend St. Louis, especially since I could bring a friend to share expenses! Thanks for offering this wonderful prize. Terri Harmon

I have attended 2 Private Reserves. I would love the chance to attend again and bring my sister. Each year I have learned new techniques and come away with so many ideas that it has really improved my scrapbooks. -Beverly Witt

My name is Kayla Ashbaugh. When I went to the Private Reserve in Grand Mound, Washington last year with my mother - we both instantly fell in love. Since it was our first QQ crop, we had no idea what to expect. We brought every scrapbooking product under the sun - our hotel room was full of bags filled with scissors, glue, brads, ribbons...the list could go on.
And yet the night of our Friday crop, we were overwhelmed by how many things QQ provided us! (AND my mom did a little bit of shopping while we were there, too!) We even had to make trips back to our hotel because we brought so many things.
When we went home that Sunday, we were both overjoyed by everything QQ had to offer. There were plenty of kits, take-home goodies, and prizes.
We both decided, based on that night, we were definitely attending next year...with less bags, of course.

I would love to win so I could bring my mother again (and supply her with some extra shopping money!), but also to make more memories with her. We bonded so much over those three days..I'm hoping we can take some pictures this year, too! And We're hoping to even enter some of the scrapbooking contests!

Even if I don't win, thank you Quick Quotes for the memories you help make with my mom.

I have heard nothing but wonderful things from friends who have atdtended a private reserve. I love quick quotes products and have enjoyed the various classes I have taken at other conventions and at my lss before it closed. I would take a friend who moved to Vegas last year. We decided we were going to meet next year to go to a private reserve weekend but it would be great to get to see her and enjoy a weekend with some of our favorite products.

Thanks for the chance for winning this amazing weekend.

I went to a Private Reserve in Anaheim 3 years ago and thought it was wonderful. Life got in the way and I did not do any scrapbooking at all until earlier this year. Now that I'm back in the groove I was disappointed that there aren't any Quick Quotes workshops listed at the Ontario CA Expo this year and would really, really like to attend the Palm Springs Private Reserve instead!

Thanks for your wonderful products - you are my favorite!

It would be a dream come true for me to be able to attend the Washington Private Reserve. I live in Montana, so it's close enough for me to drive, and it's time for me to have a weekend only taking care of me--where I can relax, learn new scrapbooking techniques and ideas, and not have to take care of everyone but me. That's how the past 4 years that I've dreamed of going--turns out I've--either cared for a daughter who had strokes, taken care of hubby during his c treatments, moved mom from florida to MT where I now care for her, tending to my sisters affairs after she passed away suddenly during a common surgery.
It's time for me to just worry about me, have fun scrapbooking so I can get back into it whole heartedly, and relax with fellow scrappers and my most favorite company.
Thank you for the chance to win this amazing weekend.

If I got picked, I would have no problems paying to get to one of the destinations from where I am (I live in Montreal)...I have always wanted to attend a scrapbooking retreat which would give me time to focus on new techniques and just plain old creative time without any distractions (my amazing hubby and kids). Hoping for a shot at this! Thanks for the opportunity :)

I was able to take your canvas class at the Anaheim Expo, and fell in love with not only the details in the book but the way the instructor presented the class as well as the kind girls that were in the booth. I would love to win a seat at your PR weekend. I can't wait to see all the fun stuff everyone makes. Best wishes to everyone :)

For any scrappers out there that do not know: This is truly a fabulous weekend! I was so thrilled that QQPR will be closer to home for me this year (only 3 hours away in St. Louis)! It would be fabulous to win the tuition, so that more scrapfabulicious QQ goodness may be purchased for my stash and also to bring a friend that would otherwise not attend! Been scrapping since before it was cool. Attend local crops and shows and ALWAYS sign up for QQ classes because they are always some of the best. Love the products, techiniques - all of it. Supported my husband all through grad school and with very limited budget for the last 6 years have had to be really frugal. PR is definitely on my bucket list for "someday". Still can't afford it now so winning would be awesome. Have a friend in mind to come with me, too. Got her involved in scrapping and it's what motivates us to make "dates" with each other. :) I know she is hoping to go someday, too. Thanks for the chance. Eunice Lee

I thought my dream at one time was to just own two bras. That dream just came true so now...I'm dreaming of something on my bucket list! Taking my 8-Year Old Daughter and 7-year-old Grandson to Wolf lodge in Grand Mound,WA. I have taken them to McDonald's Playland every week since they were walking and while they play. My girlfriends and I sit and make cards or scrapbooking pages. Everyone is happy! I was thinking the other day that they are growing up and soon they would be too old for McDonalds. I would be thee BEST Mom and Grandma if I told them we were going to play and in stead of McDonalds I gave them wolf lodge. Quick Quotes for me...wolf lodge for them. Yeah! I have always dreams of signing up for a PR at CK Portland Convention. I take just about every class you have during the convention. You gals are so creative! I'm so in love with your product. Happy Day!

QQPR is the best scrapbooking event! I couldn't attend last year due to finances and am trying to find a way to fit it in my budget this year, however, the closest one to me is St. Louis and I can't attend that weekend to do scheduling conflicts. If I can make it work, I will have additional travel expenses, but winning tuition would seal the deal! If you have never been before, I urge you to sign up! You will have a blast, learn many new techniques and make tons of projects. You will also make new friends and go home with lots of prizes and goodies. It is well with the time and money! Thanks QQ for hosting such great events and for the opportunity to win.

Wow!! Congratulations to the winners!! This is such a great opportunity and I would love to win the tuition for the York, Pa event. I don't have some tragedy to share or some sad story to tell as a reason for me to be picked...I am just a normal person who LOVES to scrapbook! I am already enrolled, but would love to be able to have my travel expenses taken care of and possibly $$ for some goodies at the event since things are tight and it will be a struggle to gather the rest needed! I am so excited and it feels so good to be around people who love what I do just as much as me! I am looking forward to learning more about the great products offered and I always love new inspiration....as I mentioned, I do not have some long sad story to share, just trying to get by like everyone else and winning the tuition would be so helpful..I know my husband would appreciate it too as he has worked very hard to get enrolled to begin with..and I am so lucky to have a husband who completely supports my hobby and always makes sure I time to myself to be creative and takes our girls out so I can get to it!! Looking forward to the event and would to be chosen as one of the lucky winners! Thanks again for the opportunity!

This would be a great chance to spend some time with my daughter who recently moved here from Arizona. I cannot think 9f a better way to bond with her again. P.S. I purchase every kit my local scrapbook store gets in stock & I own every color of your inks. I just cannot get enough of Quick Quotes products! Good luck to you all :)
