Father's Day Inspiration with Marcia!

Marcia here today to host the Quick Quotes blog. I am suppose to share some Father's Day inspiration with you, but I have been recently reminded that not all of us have our Fathers anymore. And for a friend of mine whose 14 year old son committed suicide, some people are no longer Fathers. I made this project with my friend in mind ...

Our focus in June is on vellum, so I used vellum to create the rolled flowers, inking the edges with Powderpuff ink. I also used vellum to create my little butterflies which are also inked. The vellum really gives them a delicate look. The larger butterfly is a Quick Quotes chipboard piece finished with Powderpuff ink as well. Here is another view from the top...

Quick Quotes supplies:

Dreamscape 300

Dreamscape 500

Butterflies - Bag o'Chips

Powderpuff ink in Purple Passion, Very Berry, Biscotti, and Blue Moon

Other supplies:

Hero Arts pearls

Sizzix butterfly paddle punch

Spellbinders Spiral Blossoms

Is there someone you know who could use a friend to talk to, or anyone you want to share some good memories with? Wishing all of you a very Happy Father's Day!! Pin It Now!

The project is adorable! I would have loved to see some masculine inspiraion! I'm sorry for your friends' losses. Whether the loss of a parent, grandparent, child, friend, or spouse, fond memories live within the heart.
