Father's Day Frame with Jan!

Hello friends!

Jan here to share a Father's Day inspiration home decor piece.  The picture of the two cuties in the airship are my oldest son, Steve and his daughter, Maia.  They are quite a pair and she is a daddy's girl!  I'm so proud of the kind of "Dad" my son has become.  To honor him on Father's Day, I made this home decor frame of the two of them.

The Tin Type Collection has been a favorite since it was released.  There's something about the gears, air ships and the deep earthy colors that I find so appealing.  The frame was on sale at Hobby Lobby and I got it for $1.60!  I simply used Tin Type 200 for the background.  "Life is full of surprises", color vellum  is mounted on terra cotta card stock.  The airship was painted white and then inked with Mango Mai Tai and Green With Envy Powder Puff Chalking Ink.  The edges of the frame were inked with both chalking inks.  Bag 'o Chips Garden were used for some of the "gears".  I simply snipped the topiary sections off and then embossed them with copper embossing powder.  I've also used Bag 'o Chips gears.
Here's the air ship...  Painted, inked and embossed.
