Tuesday greetings to you from Karan!

We are celebrating Mother's Day on the Quick Quotes Blog and I have created a keepsake tin using the Quick Quotes Dreamscape line and PowderPuff Chalk Inks that I wanted to share with you.

Creating a project for Mother's Day was a bit difficult for me.  I recently lost my mother in February, and I really struggled with creating a project dedicated to her so soon.  One thing I truly love about this hobby, is, it’s so therapeutic.  And I found while I was creating this beautiful keepsake tin, I had remembered some fond moments spent with my mom, and I tucked them on the tags in this project.

Front Cover

I was looking at a discarded Maya Road Tin and thought it would make a great keepsake piece. I cut out the "Always in our Hearts" from Dreamscape 500 and used it as part of the title for the tin. I added some Purple Passion Powder Puff Chalk ink to my flourish and it made the perfect coordinated accent.

Inside bottom tin.

This will be a precious keepsake I will be able to look at with fond memories for years to come.

Detail shot of cover.

Inside cover and inside bottom tin-closes beautifully even with all the detail :)

Thank you for joining me today, I hope this project inspires you to create a beautiful keepsake for your mom!

What a wondeful memory of you mom to have and hold. It's gorgeous. Your are right its very theraputic to scrap after loosing your mother. It's been 6 years and I still miss mine but find such great memories when I scrap pictures of her.
