Tuesday Techniques with Marcia

Marcia hosting the Quick Quotes blog today with some layout inspiration featuring the new colored vellum quotes and chipboard.  I used the Copper Kettle colletion for this layout. I love the subtle music notes on the papers in this collection!

I know its spring, but this paper, quote and chipboard tree were perfect for this fall picture of my daughter and best friend.

Designers Techniques:
I finished the chipboard with some antique linen distress crackle paint and then applied Mocha Mama Powderpuff chalk ink over it. I punched some leaves from cardstock, water distressed them, and then inked them with PowderPuff Chalking Ink to give them a more realistic look. I also stamped some swirling leaves on the back side of the vellum.

The Color me Crazy flower from Petaloo was misted and then some Amaretto Powderpuff ink applied to the center to make it a little darker.

I placed a hidden journal card behind the vellum quote. The journal card was finished with powderpuff ink and stamped with more swirling leaves.
