Double the Inspiration with Marcia

March Featured Product:  Chipboard Laser Die Cuts
Today's project features the Butterflies 'Bag o' Chips'!

----------

Marcia is back to host the Quick Quotes blog today!

I have a couple of projects to share with you featuring the Butterflies Bag o' Chips chipboard and the Dreamscape papers. The first project is a layout I did for The Paper Variety, and I liked it so much that I wanted to share it here as well.

These butterflies were first painted with gesso (wings) and acrylic gold paint (bodies).

Once dry, I blended a variety of the Powderpuff chalk inks on the wings just by dragging the ink pad over the gesso on the chipboard. I heat set this and then stamped swirls on the wings and finished by adding a little more contrasting chalk ink to the tips of the wings. I heat set it again to prevent smudging. I printed my journaling onto some vellum and placed a few diecuts underneath. Here is a closeup of those gorgeous butterflies.

Lots of times I like to make a card with the scraps left over from a layout while everything is still out. So here is my second project...

Have I inspired you today?

Marcia, your wags and whiskers layout is beautiful. It takes me back to the days when my best friend was my dog Deja. Thank you for sharing!
