Holiday projects - layout & countdown calendar!

Christmas may be over, but now
the layout making begins with
all of the photos you took!

JEN - O' The Joys of Christmas Layout

I love these photos of my daughter Jasmine.  They show how she can change from calm, to crying, to smiling in an instant!

This is a double page layout that I created using the December Club Q Kit.  I chalked the edges of the paper and all of the elements with Blue Hawaiian PowderPuff Chalking Ink
.
I chalked the edges and then layered the diecut flowers on top of one another.  I added a half pearl to the center and placed dots of copper paint down each of the petals.

I added a gift box element by wrapping a square piece of patterned paper with ric rac to represent ribbon.  To create the bow at the top, I looped small pieces of sheer ribbon and glued it to the back of the gift box.
I added more dots of copper paint to the title piece as well as half pearls to the tree image.

MICHELLE - Countdown to Christmas Wall Hanging
I know that Christmas has passed, but I did this project using the December Kit and if you have some of your kit left, it was a great tool to help us keep track of how much shopping time we had at the Granger Household.  I cut a piece of the tree paper to fit the 6x10 canvas so that you could still see the whole tress (5 ¾ by 9 ¾ ) and attached it to canvas with Beacon’s 3 in 1 adhesive.  I inked the edge of the canvas with my Maraschino Cherry Powderpuff Ink pad.  I added a pearl accent to the star on the tree.  I cut out the numbers and tags that they are glued to using my AWESOME Grand Calibur and dies that I have in my stash.

I added some stickers, chipboard letters (days) a metal embellishment and the metal hooks (7Gypsies).  On the Back, I added a scrap piece of paper to make a pocket so that when the numbers will no longer be used they can be stored in the pocket.

Only 2 more days until our big NEW YEAR's EVE giveaway!!!
STAY TUNED :)
