Cards Galore!!!

You are in store for a treat today!
When Michelle & Theresa turned in
their projects I was overwhelmed
with the 'card goodness' that they
have created.  I hope you enjoy!!!

MICHELLE - Gift Card Holders

I love the mini book that is included in the Club Q kit this month but I wanted to change it up a bit.  I used the precut scored stips of paper to create FOUR different Gift Card Holders.  I love the colors on these pieces, very easy to work with and I even got to use my favorite color Powderpuff  ink pad, Tahiti on three of the holders!

I folded the strip on the score line and adhered only the sides with a thin layer of adhesive.  If I had used too much adhesive a gift card wouldn’t fit inside the pocket.  I then folded the rest of the strip down to make a card shape.  I used a Martha Stewart Edge Punch to create the design along the bottom of the holder.  I used two of the die cut flowers to create the flower and adhered them together with a brad in the middle.  I cut the words “be jolly” with my Spellbinders Grand Calibur and then added the bling with the Imaginisce I Roc tool.
I again folded the strips to create a card shape with a pocket on the inside (again, adhere edges only so a gift card will fit inside).  I LOVE the diecut chipboard present that came in the kit but wanted to add some glam to it so I embossed the whole piece with Cinnamon Toast Embossing Powder (Which I have had for over 5 years in my stash, CRAZY).  I then glued the chipboard piece over the pre-printed JOY that was in the kit.
This time, I used a postage stamp edge punch along the bottom of the holder and along the top of the pocket on the inside.  I used some of the felt rick rack from the kit along the front and inked the Chipboard piece with a Maraschino Cherry Powderpuff Ink Pad.  I cut a scrap piece of Kraft cardstock I had on hand and used a stamp for “We Wish You A”.  There is a little bit of stray glitter that made it’s way onto this one as well…
I used a different style edge punch on this holder along the bottom and again along the top of the pocket on the inside of the gift card holder.  I cut the Noel piece from the word paper and in the center of each snowflake I added some of the pearl accents that were included in the kit.

BONUS CARD
This month's kit had so many great goodies that Michelle even made this bonus card!

THERESA - Very Merry Christmas Cards
Hey Everyone, Theresa here and are you ready for Christmas? Well I’m still working on it and that means I still have a few more Christmas cards to make so I thought why not get a few done with our Fun new Club Q Kit . Well I made 4 cards out of the December Club Q Kit. I love these Frosty and Fun papers and Love how these cards turned out. I used the Amaretto Powderpuff Chalk Ink to add to the distressed edges of all the images. These are all 5 x 7 size pre-cut cards and all the Very Merry papers are from the QQ kits along with the great Poinsettia flowers. Very few extras were added and the last card has a cute poem about Santa’s Magic Key. This is for those of us that don’t have a fireplace for Santa to comedown. This has the “Magic Key” that only Santa can use to let him in the house, the poem was done on my computer and then I used my Grand Caliber to cut the label out with the poem for the card.

I’m also attaching one of the many poems that are available for the Magic Key Poem, and the actual one on the card I made:

This key is very special, you see!
It won’t work for you or me.
Hang it just outside your door
then go to bed and worry no more.
Close your eyes and close them tight ‘cause,
“Santa Claus is coming tonight!”

Michelle and Theresa your cards and gift card holders are gorgeous. I love the blue and the vintage look. Love the little carolers. I just got my granddaughters keys for Santa so will copy the poem Theresa. Thanks to you both for sharing your lovely work.

Wow!! I think I'm in sensory overload condition mode right now after seeing all these beautiful cards!!! That Club QQ must really be something to have made all these wonderful projects from it. I'm not usually a big fan of kits because they are rather limiting but the QQ ones seem to be really versatile. Wonderful work, Michelle and Theresa!
