TRENDY TUESDAYS
I am going to show you how to make a fun and in-expensive “date night” or “movie night” project.
First you are going to need 2-12 x 12 sheets of paper. I used the Savvy Davvy paper line for my project.

Cut 2 pieces that measure 8” x 5 ½”. These are going to be the front and back.

Then cut 2 more pieces that measure 6 ¼” x 4 ¾”. These are going to be your pockets.

Second, you are going to score the bottom, of both of the side pieces, at 5/8”. This is going to create the bottom of the holder.

Then place adhesive on the front side of one and the back side of the other.

…and stick them together. When you have done that, it should look like this…

Third, you are going to take the two pocket pieces and score them on three sides, both sides and along the bottom, at ½” and 1”. They should look like this:

Then you are going to cut each corner to look like this:

All four corners should look like that when your finished. (See below)

Then fold all your score lines and you should have something like this.

Here they are with the corners glued together.

At this point you will apply adhesive to the ½” lip on the back and attach it to the other piece. Like so:

Make sure that you center the pocket on the front and line it up along the bottom fold.

This is what it will look like once you get both pockets on the base.

Almost finished! We’re going to add the tie’s now!

You will need 2 pieces of 10” long ribbon and 2 pieces of paper that measure 1 ¼” x 1 ¼”.

Glue down the ribbon and then place the small piece of paper over it for a more finished look. A heavy duty adhesive will work best.
Lastly, all you have to do is decorate the front pockets. J

Then grab you favorite movie, some microwave popcorn, and a couple snack size bags of your favorite candy. This makes a great gift, movie night, or date night surprise.
