I usually get ZERO projects finished in a weekend! Hubby's home and we're always busy catching up from the week! So I could only imagine having a WHOLE weekend to crop and learn with other scrapbookers!! WOW!!! I just bet I would get 10 classes and 20 pages done! Haha!!

WOW, Awesome prize giveaway. ON a weekend getaway I may complete 20 or so layouts. This getaway sounds awesome. I just saw you at CK Valley Forge last weekend. Thanks for a chance to win an awesome prize. jeannett_mcgee@comcast.net

It depends on what I am working on how many projects I can finish in a weekend. This last weekend, I finished 5 cards for a swap and a challenge card. It certainly wasn't close to the 20 page scrapbook that you finish at your Private Reserve in a weekend. My daughter and I would love to win this wonderful weekend of crafting with you. Thank you for the great opportunity to win.

I am usually lucky to finish 2. Maybe 5 for the entire week. Nothing close to what you say can be done. :)

I can get a few cards or a layout done, if-IF the kids are not around, I can do more but it leads to staying up LATE.I love gong to crops because I dont feel so guilty about sitting down and crafting or have to get up to cook!
I am sooo crossing my fingers for this!!! THank you so much for this chance to win!!

with a 2 and a 22 month old any extra time on my weekends is spent catching up on sleep... so lately I dont get the time myself to do much. When I do sit down and scrap with friends online I usually only finish 1 or 2. It would be awesome to get an entire album completed, I cant even imagine that being possible!

If my hubbs is working on the weekend, I can get two maybe three layouts completed start to finish. If he is home, I can usually get one started but usually not finished. I would love to win this challenge simply because my area is very rural and we have to travel a minimum of two hours in any direction to get to a Michaels or Hobby Lobby or a decent Joann's. Plus, I am no aware of any scrap retreats near me. Thanks, Anna Cornwell

When I go on a weekend retreat I typically take 30-40 layouts I have completed prior to going, my laptop and a portable printer. I will print all of my pictures crop and finish the layout. I will complete 2-3 albums like this. There usually is a couple make and takes at the retreat I will also complete. I will bring a few mini albums just in case I have "nothing to do". I always stay busy and usually pull an all nighter. I love retreats!! I hope to win.

Typically, zero is the amount I get done in a weekend just because I'm too busy. If I actually find time to scrap, I might get 4 layout kits done or a mini album kit. I love scrapbook weekends where I can get away and focus on my projects. I would be very excited to go the private reserve and complete a lot of projects! And it would be a great time for me and my friend to spend together since we usually only see each other when we are scrappin! :) Thanks for the chance to win!

How much do I get done in a weekend? Depends on whether I feel I should clean my house and do laundry or scrapbook. LOL. A weekend away would be great, as there would be no guilt involved in just scrapbooking the whole weekend with no distractions. Thanks for offering these great Private Reserve weekends.

Thanks

The number of projects I typically get finished in a weekend depends on what my kids have going on; with 3 kids, I seldom get good scrapping time. On a good weekend, I may get 1 or two more complicated projects or pages finished. If I am using a Quick Quotes kit, I can often times get far more done because I am given color photos and specific directions to complete them. And they look fabulous. I hope I win... I hope I win... I hope I win... My name is Billi Glenn and I hope I win!!!

If I can get motivated, I can move mountains. Which equates to 2-3 layouts. I am pretty slow at this point and change my mind constantly. I have been working on a "quick" 8x8 50th anniversary album for my parents -- hoping to finish this weekend.

China Doll said...

During a scrapbook weekend, I would finish a decent amount of layouts. I say decdent because it varies. I love getting away because I get inspired and create a lot of projects.... typically they are half done because I always tend to forget something at home or want to add other embellishments on at home.

How many projects do I finish? that would be a big fat zero, how many have I started? That would be too many to count. I can honestly say I have never been to a crop, but would love to go sometime. With hubby laid off for 3 months, it really hurt us so I can't afford to do anything. He is back to work, but money is tight. My sister always pays for me to go to scrap events and buys me my supplies. I would love to win this just so I could take her to this. It would be a dream come true. For once I can do something for her.

It depends. I have attended several Private Reserve Weekends and have finished an amazing amount of stuff, including the 20 page album. Normally, I get very little scrapping done during the school year because I am a teacher. I make up for it in the summer because I scrap continuously. This past week I made about 20 cards, using new clear acrylic stamps I got at CKC in Valley Forge. Oh . . . one last thing . . . Michelle---you rock :)

None :( I manage to get stuff started but hardly ever finished. I am also a new scrapper and it is kind of frustrating not to finish. But with working 50+ hours a week... weekends are for family time (3 year old to run after, going on trips) and catching up with cooking (my other passion. I can't even wrap my brain around a whole weekend scrapping!

Usually 4-6 scrap pages if I am lucky. So many distractions on the weekends. I would LOVE to go on a scrap week end and be able to scrap to my hearts content. I am sure I could learn a few things also : ). This woould be the best prize ever

(1) There is no typical number of projects finished in a weekend. Sometimes, I have tons of ideas and I'll blow through a whole event (creating a whole album) in a weekend. Other projects have still not been completed, but I work on them here and there. :-)

(2) What excites me about a scrapping event? Hanging around other scrappers, exchanging ideas, spending time with my eldest daughter (who's an avid scrapper as well), learning new techniques, hmmmmm, how much space do I have to respond to this question?

Actually, I would LOVE to attend a private reserve, and I was going to go to the one in Palm Springs this year. Unfortunately, money is a wee bit type as I'm having surgery (finally hoping to fix my knee once and for all) and medical insurance doesn't cover as much as they once did. Of course, if you have an extra spot or 2, I would love to go...... Being able to recuperate at a scrapping event would be the best medicine imaginable!!!

Please let me win!!!! :-)

Great blog!!

If I prepare well, I can get 3-5 projects done. I love a retreat. It is girl time with my friends, creative time and me time. It makes my life complete. Would love to be able to go to the private reserve in Dallas. It would be WONDERFUL!!!!

BARBI said...

Barbi Bartholomew: I am lucky if I make three cards and two 12X12 pages in a weekend at home! I rarely complete an entire project in a weekend unless I am doing it for a purpose, giving it away! I can do 2-3 canvas projects in a day when I purchase the quick Quote kits. I enjoy doing these as it is simple to complete and I am happy that I have accomplished the task; and had fun doing them! I have been to two retreats with my girlfriend Norma and we both enjoy the time to complete and not just start projects! bluebaybarbi@aol.com

Well, it depends on what counts as "complete". If they have to include pictures then I must say zero. But I love the putting together pages and learning new techniques from taking scrapbooking classes and one day I will put pictures in...I promise :) I love structured classes like those at the private reserve because I am able to complete projects to "just add picture" status, but can make minor changes to make them my own. I also like meeting new people and weekends are when most people have extended time off to crop. Jen Parker

During one weekend retreat, the recent Novi Mega Meet, I got 4 pages completed. :) I attended both crop nights, but spent more time shopping and catching up with friends. It was well worth the cost of the trip, even though I didn't get much scrappin' done. :)

I love weekend getaways, because it gives me a chance to be something other than a wife & mom. I can relax and just concentrate on myself and don't have to make anyone happy but ME!

When I go to an all day crop, I usually only get 3-4 layouts done. I am definately not a fast scrapper at all. I tend to be a perfectionist also lol! I rarely get and entire weekend to scrap but im thinking I would get about 7 or 8 layouts done.

Thanks for the chance to win!

Woo Hooo, another chance to win the Private Reserve Tuition!
I love it, I love it!!!!
Well my sister and I always go to the CKC in Charlotte, NC, and we would take 4 to 5 classes in a day. So I would complete about 6 or 7 projects!! But on a regular bases about 2, if I don't have to clean!! ( I hate cleaning) LOL!!

Christie said...

I usually get zero done unless I have specifically set aside a day to scrap. Usually only once or twice a year if I am lucky. What do I like most about a scrap event is that I finally get time to compelete something so I don't feel like such a failure since I get things started and never finished.

As for the tuition to a private reserve , I would love, love, love to go. Have wanted to for some time, but never seem to have time or money both at the same time. Would yell from the roof top if I were to win.
Thanks for the chance

I love teh quick quotes' kits. Being single, and working 8 hours at the office, then another 2 hours on average at home, I rarely have time to do finish a project. If I don't schedule the time on the calendar, the project won't started. Palm Springs is inked in on my calendar and my boss's calendar. He knows, "WORK ENDS at 5pm that Thursday for me, and WON'T resume until the following Tuesday." Rose Villegas grandmarose@usa.com

Usually only one or two projects in a weekend, but then I don't think I've ever really had a whole weekend to scrap without others needing something or interrupting. That is probably what I would love most. It seems awfully decadent to have a whole weekend to just scrap.

I am a blog follower and would love to win this prize. I usually am distracted at home and am lucky to finish a 2 page layout in a weekend. I love going to crop retreats because it forces me to focus and plan for my pages. Even then I might only get 4 or 5 2-page layouts done.

Anonymous said...

I might get 1 project done if I am lucky, I full time during the week, so on the weekends have lots to do. If it is raining and I can't get outside to work in the garden I might finish one page. That is why I can't wait to have a whole weekend to do nothing but scrapbooking.

During a weekend I could only assemble maybe two pages if I am home (with all that entails). However, If I go to a crop or spend designated time with other scrappers, I could easily complete 3 or 4 pages in a weekend. Those opportunities come few and far between. I don't think I have every had an entire weekend all to myself to scrapbook. I just steal time here and there.

Normally the weekends are busy with the kids but when I do get a small amount of time I can usually get 4 to 6 detailed layouts finished. I can't wait to have an entire weekend in atlanta to scrapbook the 20 page album plus!!!

I'm fast and furious when it comes to finishing projects. Once I start I find it very hard to stop...usually I plan ahead and have all my supplies ready..so that means I get 6-10 or more projects done at home on a weekend. I count a two page layout as one layout. If I'm at a crop I can get 6 2 pagers done in a night. I'm a big fan of Quick Quotes, you make it soooo easy!

Thanks for the great contest, Quick Quotes! Like so many others, I never finish a project in one weekend! I think the best thing about attending a weekend crop would be all the uninterrupted crafting time and the chance to focus on doing something I enjoy so completely, all in the company of like-minded women!

Sherie said...

As a full-time working mom, I am lucky to get 1 2-page layout done a weekend. Currently, I am 15 months behind in my scrapbooking! The most exciting thing about attending a weekend crop is that it is dedicated, distraction-free time to scrapbook that is spent with others that enjoy it as much as I do. It is a great motivation to scrapbook (not to mention the creative ideas one gets from the others!) -- Sherie Donahue

The last time I completed any project in a weekend was over a year ago when I was invited to the beach with friends. I completed a two page lay-out and a mini-album that turned out amazing! I just don't have the ability to scrap around the house- even with a designated area! Three kids and a husband just leave me prioritizing all wrong!

I adore quick quotes-- a weekend get-away would be simply amazing for me!
